Nature Prototype, Erik W
With the nature prompt being vague it was a little tougher to come up with something for it. I decided on going with an idea I expressed to the group of a kind of garden builder game. The catch is that you have to destroy the smaller, or lower tier garden to increase the size of land you can decorate.
For the prototype, I decided to go with a straightforward method of just firing a raycast at box colliders. I created a grid of boxes that when you fire at them, turn green to indicate they've been planted on. When a smaller patch of land is entirely used you are directed to destroy it. This is essentially a rebirth system.
To expand on this idea in the future I think a bunch of other features could be included, such as the limited ability to decorate vertically, a currency system with a shop of items that slows the progression of the game, waiting periods for growing plants, other perks to destroying the garden, etc.
