Week 1 - Control - Eoghan


The prompt for this project was "Control". After thinking about it with the people in my group, I took the prompt and decided to come up with a game concept that focuses on a lack of control. 

My idea ended up being a game in which the player can only move the direction that they are facing in, (e.g. the player cannot move left if they are facing right and vice versa). It is a platformer game where the player can only turn around when the game decides, such as when they interact with certain objects, or when they jump off a wall. The game would feature some puzzles that revolve around this concept, mainly to do with doing things in a particular order. 

I thought this concept was a unique idea that put a spin on the prompt we were given, as well as the platformer genre.
